SURABAYA (October 7, 2020) - President Director of PT. Pos Indonesia Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi said that the Cash Social Assistance (BST) worth Rp300.000 in Surabaya had reached 99.9%. This was conveyed when the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara along with the Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini visited the Kebon Rejo Post Office, Surabaya City this afternoon.

In her remarks the Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, told about her complaint to the Minister of Social Affairs to provide assistance to the people of Surabaya who were affected by COVID-19. "Alhamdulillah, the Minister immediately replied "Yes ma'am, I will add it," said Risma. On behalf of the city of Surabaya, Risma conveyed her gratitude.

On the same occasion the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara also said that this Social Assistance program is a program of the President, “If there is no instruction from the President, this assistance will not necessarily exist. So we also thank the President," he said, which was followed by applause from those present at the event.

The Minister of Social Affairs also conveyed that, although the value is not much, this assistance will still be continued in January-June (2021). The important thing is that the money is used for good needs. "Don't use it to buy cigarettes." Strictly speaking.

At the end of his speech, the Minister hoped that this money could be used and put to good use. Acknowledgments have been given to PT. Pos Indonesia who continues to work well in providing assistance and the Mayor of Surabaya who always coordinates with the Ministry of Social Affairs.

During his final visit to the Gayungan District Office, Surabaya, in addition to symbolically handing over the Rice Social Assistance to Family Beneficiaries (KPM) of Family Hope Program (PKH), the Minister also witnessed firsthand the process of developing the Sembako Program at E-Warong Berkah Jaya. It was said that as many as 200.000 KPM in Surabaya received the Basic Food Program from the Ministry of Social Affairs. "Hopefully the assistance will be useful in the midst of the current pandemic," Juliari said.
