JAKARTA (March 29, 2021) – The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, appreciates the combination of spatial and numerical data that can be used for policy evaluation. "This data is very, very important to evaluate, physically we can know for sure," said the Minister of Social Affairs in her remarks at the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Indonesian Chancellor's Forum.

The Minister of Social Affairs said that often the policies implemented had difficulties because the data obtained were not accurate. "Often our (government) policies, especially, have difficulty in obtaining accurate data," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

However, the Minister of Social Affairs is grateful that this spatial and numerical data is considered very useful for creating policies to improve people's welfare. "I am very grateful with this agenda, then we can monitor, not only numerical data but also spatial data. I think if this can be done, our people can prosper faster, so that it is easier for us to carry out policies," added the Minister of Social Affairs.

According to her, this is an extraordinary and useful breakthrough because by conducting precision village data collection, data will be obtained which combines spatial and numerical data. "Perhaps I think this is an extraordinary breakthrough. By collecting precise village data, we combine numerical and spatial data together, it will be very, very useful," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding which was held at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Building Floor 3, the Ministry of Home Affairs Head Office was carried out to build cooperation in the context of providing and utilizing accurate, comprehensive, and renewable village/sub-district data to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of tasks and functions, both within the scope of the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as within the scope of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Indonesian Chancellor's Forum.

The event was atteneded by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Hartono Laras, the Director General of Poverty Handling of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Asep Sasa Purnama, the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Sanusi, as well as invitees from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indonesian Chancellor's Forum.
