Attending a Working Meeting with Commission VIII DPR RI, Minister of Social Affairs Plans to Increase the Accuracy of DTKS

JAKARTA (January 13, 2021) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, conveyed the importance of increasing the accuracy of the targets for the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) at the Commission VIII DPR RI Working Meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. The discussion agenda at the meeting was the Evaluation of the Implementation and Program of the 2020 FY State Budget and Actual Issues and Solutions. The meeting was attended directly by 12 Members of Commission VIII DPR RI in the DPR RI Commission VIII Meeting Room, Nusantara II Building Lt. 2 and was also virtually attended by 38 Members of Commission VIII DPR RI.

The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs explained that the increase was carried out through improving the data by asking the regions to check DTKS and update the data. "Invalid NIK DTKS is returned to the Regional Government for correction and matching with Dukcapil," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini also said that for 2020 in general, 97.11% of the budget has been absorbed with a Budget PAGU of IDR 134,171,839,274,000 and realization of IDR 130,300,865,759,231. The budget absorption for Social Assistance is 97.11% with a Budget PAGU of IDR 128,101,734,274,480 and Realization of IDR 124,399,000,609.552.

At the Directorate General for Handling the Poor, 95.38% has been absorbed in 2020 with a Budget PAGU of IDR 80,552,566,002,000 and a realization of IDR 76,827,955,957,799. The budget includes the Basic Food Program, Productive Economic Business Assistance (KUBE), Cash Assistance for Non-PKH Basic Food Cards, Cash Social Assistance for Non-Jabodetabek Food Cards, KPM who received Home Rehabilitation Assistance.

The Minister of Social Affairs will also review the criteria and parameters of poverty with Universities because the poverty parameters of each region are different. "Especially for vulnerable groups (homeless, beggars, scavengers, KAT) who do not have a NIK/KTP, collaboration with Dukcapil is carried out for data recording," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.

On the other hand, members of Commission VIII DPR RI reminded that the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing so that many people are economically vulnerable which results in the potential to become poor. Accompanying the Minister of Social Affairs, including the Director General of Handling the Poor, Asep Sasa Purnama, Secretary of the Directorate General of PFM, Nurul Farijati, as well as Echelon I and II officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs.
