JAKARTA (March 13, 2020) - The National Committee for Deafness Hearing and Deafness (PGPKT) represented by Dr. Damayanti Soetjipto Sp.T.H.T.K.L (K), held the Appreciation Role Model of the Deaf Friends Model on the second national level.

"Our main activity today is" Reaching Deaf Friends "to be able to further enhance its competence, to better mingle with friends and the surrounding community," said Dr. Damayanti at the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Friday (03/13/2020)

The efforts of Komnas Komnas and Komda PGPKT to develop achievements, encourage confident deaf friends and fight for the rights of the deaf, actively participate in national and state development, do not want to be a separate social group that is a burden on the government and society, is not an obstacle to progress and move.

The organizer of the Congress is the National Commission on PGPKT and the Directorate of Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (P2PTM) - Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia which commemorates World Hearing Day on March 3, 2020, and in accordance with the World WHO theme, "Don't Let Your Hearing Loss Limit You" .

"The National Commission for PGPKT intends to reach the dream of the deaf friends community and strive for them to be more capable and confident to develop their potential in covering the categories of education, work, arts and culture, sports and so on," said Dr. Damayanti

One of the best selected participants was Dian Inggrawati as the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs ASN working in the Secretariat of the Education, Research and Social Counseling Unit that won the best award "Award of Achievement for the Deaf and Heraning for the Effort to Achieve A Bright Future" which given by Prof. Dr. Jenny bashiruddin Sp. ENT KL (K), as chairman of the Central Management of the Indonesian Association of Ear Nose Throat Surgery (PERHATI).

In this event as many as 42 Deaf / less heard participants from all over Indonesia took part in the opening activities, Morning Gymnastics and Noise Awareness Flashmop delivered by dr. Achmad Yurianto, Mr. Director General of P2PTM of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
