MANADO (March 9th 2020) - BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar is following up on the results of case assistance which was carried out some time ago which was escorted by the Head of the Social Assessment and Advocacy Section and Social Workers. This Social Assessment activity focuses on the purpose of gathering information about problems, potentials, existing source systems and PPKS needs.
In accordance with Article 59 paragraph 2 letter d of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning child protection, children who are assessed are children who are economically / sexually exploited. From the information obtained, the seven PPKS this time are children who have dropped out of school and victims of divorce from both parents. Lack of attention (affection) and supervision from parents results in PPKS spending more time with their peers.
The seven PPKS are the results of the network of APH and P2TP2A in two different places. A total of 3 PPKS were netted in one lodging place in Manado City and 4 PPKS were netted in Gorontalo. The problems faced by PPKS may develop and fall into the category of Human Trafficking Victims which is rife.
Officials in the field have coordinated / partnered with existing Stakeholders (Source Systems). The officers have sat together with the Local Social Services Agency, P2TP2A, the Children's Social Worker Service Unit (Sakti Pekso) and the police to pay special attention to this problem so that all parties can quickly prevent similar incidents.
