PURWAKARTA
(17 November 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs is present
through Social Rehabilitation Center "Budi Dharma" Bekasi to
distribute Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) support for Persons with
Disabilities in Purwakarta Regency with total assistance of Rp133,075,000,00.
This
assistance was distributed to 60 persons with disabilities. The assistance was
distributed through the YAKALIMU Disabled Work Unit in Wanayasa District, Purwakarta
Regency, West Java Province.
The
assistance provided is in the form of a business package for Persons with
Disabilities in the Purwakarta Regency area. A variety of people with
disabilities who receive assistance including, the Deaf, Speech Disability,
Mental Disability, Blind, Physical Disability, and Autistic Persons are
proposed from the Purwakarta Regency Social Office.
The types of
business package assistance provided are in the form of clothing, sewing
business, neci business, fruit juice selling business, goat fattening
business, fish farming business, food stall business, basic food business, and
gasoline selling as well as seafood business and grilled meatballs.
The Head of
the Social Rehabilitation Division of the Purwakarta Regency Social Office,
Tedy expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs. "We
express our gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs through "Budi
Dharma" Center Bekasi for their attention and concern for the Purwakarta
Regency Government, especially for Persons with Disabilities, hopefully, it will
become a field of worship for the Ministry of Social Affairs, especially for Budi
Dharma Center Bekasi," said Tedy.
"With
business assistance for Persons with Disabilities, it is hoped that Persons
with Disabilities in Purwakarta Regency can be independent and can live more
properly," he added.
In addition,
the Chairperson of the YAKALIMU SLB Foundation, Siti, explained that the effort
for Persons with Disabilities who are accompanied by their parents is to help
them in the business sector because of their poor economic conditions so that
they are expected to be able to fulfill their lives with the business that will
be run.
"We
hope that this assistance does not stop here, because programs from the
Foundation such as donations for orphans and the elderly still really need
assistance from the government," added Siti.
