MUNTOK (19 December 2021) - The 2021 National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN)
is the right momentum to invite all levels of Indonesian society to care for
each other.
The series of HKSN 2021, namely the Peak of the
Month of Social Welfare Service (BBKS) which will be held in Bangka Belitung,
one of which is in Muntok District, West Bangka Regency. One of them is the
submission of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) support.
A total of Rp. 2,626,379,388,- handed over
symbolically to residents of West Bangka Regency, East Bangka, Bangka, Central
Bangka, East Belitung, Bangka Belitung Province.
ATENSI support is proof of the government's
commitment to building social solidarity for children, people with
disabilities, people living with HIV, the elderly and victims of drug abuse.
"I'm trying to build togetherness. How do the
residents participate in building support and providing assistance to others,
to those who don't have it. I quote the statement from the Deputy Regent (Bong
Ming Ming) that the people of West Bangka used to be very tolerant and have
high solidarity. This is the strength of Indonesia, solidarity, and high
tolerance," said Social Minister Risma.
The Governor of Bangka Belitung, Erzaldi Rosman
Djohan said that his party welcomed the HKSN celebration in his region. "It
is a blessing for us, especially West Bangka as the host of HKSN. The presence
of the Minister of Social Affairs is not just a ceremonial presence," he
said.
He said he was grateful that the Ministry of Social
Affairs worked for hand in hand to make the event a success and provided assistance
to its citizens. "With this assistance, we will try to make them
independent and successful," concluded Erzaldi at the Peak Event of the
Month of Social Welfare Service (BBKS) as part of the 2021 HKSN commemoration.
A total of 27 Social Rehabilitation Centers of the
Ministry of Social Affairs throughout Indonesia collaborated in managing ATENSI
support in Bangka Belitung Province. Starting from basic needs assistance,
ATENSI savings for orphans, fatherless, and motherless, accessibility
assistance to entrepreneurship assistance are provided for residents of Bangka
Belitung Province.
The Minister of Social Affairs also introduced
several assistive devices assembled by persons with disabilities, such as
adaptive canes, multi-purpose wheelchairs, and electric wheelchairs. Apart from
being an achievement for people with disabilities, this form of solidarity can
be seen from the efforts of people with disabilities to continue to help
others.
