Collaborating with PT Pos, the Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes Cash Social Assistance
BEKASI (April 22nd 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) in collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia to distribute Cash Social Assistance to families affected by Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Bekasi Regency.
The Head of Sub-Directorate for Assistance and Empowerment of the Directorate of Poverty Handling (PFM) Region I, Buyung Rachim Mosad, was symbolically handed over to Dicky Hendrawansyah, as the Head of the Central Cikarang Post Office in Cikarang.
Cash Social Assistance is distributed directly by PT Pos officers with a door to door mechanism (from house to house) to 3,488 KPM in three sub-districts, namely Cibitung, West Cikarang, and Cikarang Pusat in the form of cash of IDR 600 thousand given to each beneficiary family (KPM) once a month for three months.
This distribution was also carried out simultaneously today in two other locations, namely Bogor City and Tangerang Regency. Hopefully that the cash assistance received by the community can help make ends meet during this COVID-19 pandemic.
