PEKANBARU (22 December 2021) - In commemoration of the 2021 National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN), the Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center "Abiseka" distributed nutritional assistance and accessibility aids to 167 beneficiaries in Pekanbaru City.

 

Located at the residence of the Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru, the 2021 HKSN commemoration was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru, Ayat Cahyadi. The HKSN commemoration activity in Pekanbaru City was attended by all PSM in Pekanbaru City, Friday Blessing Community, and PMI Pekanbaru City.

 

Head of "Abiseka" Center, Ahmad Subarkah, in his speech said that this event was a series of activities to commemorate Social Solidarity Day 2021 with the theme 'Strengthening Prosperous Indonesian Solidarity'.

 

"ATENSI in its implementation needs to involve various parties through multi actors, social pillars, community social workers, and the Friday blessing community in Pekanbaru City is a form of involvement of community elements in dealing with social problems that exist in the community," said Ahmad.

 

The assistance given at the 2021 HKSN commemoration in Pekanbaru City is a Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) support as explained by the Head of the Center, "The program related to this morning's activity is the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program in which there are 3 basic approaches with 7 components services include proper life support such as nutrition and immune system which we have also prepared; family support; social care and nurture; therapy; vocational skills training; and accessibility support."

 

In supporting the fulfillment of disability rights, Pekanbaru "Abiseka" Center symbolically handed over ATENSI support to the Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru City in the form of 167 nutrition packages, 3 units of 4 in 1 wheelchair, 14 units of standard wheelchair, 6 units of child wheelchair, 7 units of wheelchair. 3 walking sticks, 3 1 walking sticks, 3 walkers, 2 Nebulizers, 3 Hearing Aids, 2 adaptive walking sticks, and 19 medical mattresses.

 

In addition, the Pekanbaru "Abiseka" Center also distributed assistance to 80 Orphans/Fatherless/Motherless victims of COVID-19 and 9 Children Needing Social Function Development at the Aisyiah Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) Pekanbaru City. The total amount of aid handed overreached Rp.230,826,500

 

The delivery of this assistance is a follow-up to the results of the assessment of the data proposed by the Pekanbaru City Social Office which has gone through verification and assessment of social workers and social rehabilitation assistants of Pekanbaru City.


 

Furthermore, Ahmad Subarkah explained that the presence of the Center is a form of cooperation between the central and regional governments in the synergy of programs to handle problems in the community.

"This is in line with the slogan of the Ministry of Social Affairs Present, which is to be present amid the community, present to be able to help the community whose benefits can be widely felt by the community. "The front liners are expected to respond quickly to social problems in the community. We hope that in the future there will be an MoU as an integrative service in the involvement of OPD in Pekanbaru City," explained Ahmad.

Besides that, the Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru said, "We must continue to improve this Day of Solidarity, especially during this COVID-19 period, and also synergize with each other in solving existing social problems and of course me as Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru, strongly encourage collaboration with Abiseka Center which is located in Pekanbaru City. The "Abiseka" Center so far has contributed a lot in handling PPKS in Pekanbaru City. I am also the Head of Aids Management in Pekanbaru City, I give my appreciation for providing services to Children with HIV/Aids in Pekanbaru City," said Ayat Cahyadi.
