Commission VIII of the DPR Appreciates the Performance of the Minister of Social Affairs in Handling DTKS

BOGOR (7 June 2021) - Commission VIII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia carried out the agenda of a Work Meeting and Hearing Meeting between the Ministry of Social Affairs together with Members of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives at Wisma Griya Shaba Kopo, Bogor Regency. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, Yandri Susanto.

In the meeting attended by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, and the team were accompanied by the Director General of Poverty Handling, Asep Sasa Purnama along with Echelon I Officials, and all Echelon II Officials within the Directorate General of Poverty Handling, namely the Secretary of the Directorate General of PFM, Nurul Farijati, Director of PFM Region I, Said Mirza Pahlevi, Director of PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan, and Director of PFM Region III, AM Asnandar.

On that occasion, Commission VIII of the DPR RI, represented by the Chair of the Commission, expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Minister of Social Affairs in dealing with data problems that have been polemics, "This is the first time in history that the Minister of Social Affairs has disassembled the data to see the problems and fix them", said the chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI.

The Minister of Social Affairs further said that before the distribution was carried out, we had to reconsider first, because indeed the data changes every month, some are fixed and there are also changes due to death and so on, if not done then the data will remain the same unchanged.

Commission VIII of the DPR RI also supports the Ministry of Social Affairs in this regard to tidy up and ensure that the new Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) is truly valid and becomes a reference for all distributions of Social Assistance Programs so that they are right on target.
