JAKARTA (February 1, 2021) - The Director General for Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama, opened a virtual activity for the preparation of Operational Activities (POK) for the 2021 Fiscal Year which was held at the Grand Mercure Hotel Kemayoran Jakarta. In his direction, the Director General of PFM said that this activity is very important so that Reform and Bureaucracy are carried out properly. Thus, this activity generates good guidelines management as its output.

The Director General of PFM urges all employees within the Directorate General of PFM to be solid with each other and build good communication. It is intended that all activities can be carried out properly and will feel lighter. "No matter how big the budget, if we implement it according to the instructions, it will feel more undemanding," said the Director General of PFM. In addition, he discussed the problematic beneficiary data, especially in duplicate data. It is hoped that for this year's Social Assistance, the problem will not happen again.

Following up on directions from the Minister of Social Affairs, the Directorate General of PFM will invite discussions with the University of Indonesia regarding social assistance for the Basic Food Program and Non-Cash Food Aid. "Continuing the direction of the Minister, later we will discuss with UI regarding the social assistance program at our directorate, because a wise step is to always accept suggestions and improvements," said the Director General of PFM.

Previously, the activity report was submitted by the Secretary of the Directorate General for PFM, Mrs. Nurul Farijati regarding the 2021 budget savings. It was said that the Directorate General of PFM had saved a budget of IDR 5 billion from the total budget in 2020. The biggest savings was in the Secretariat of the Directorate General of PFM amounted to IDR 1.6 billion and the rest was taken from safeguarding from each directorate within the Directorate General of PFM.

Also attending the event were the Head of Program and Reporting, Charles Purnama, Head of General Legal and Public Relations, Tati Nurcahyati, Head of Finance, Sugiharto, and representatives of the Environmental Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
