Competency Test for Functional Positions of Social Counselors and Social Workers

JAKARTA (16 February 2021) - Following up on the Regulation of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms Number 42 of 2018 on In passing, the Center for Social Workers and Social Counselors Professional Development (Pusbangprof Peksos & Pensos) conducted a Competency Test for Appointment of Social Workers and Social Counselors through In passing/Adjustment of Social Workers and Social Counselors Phase III on 16 to 18 February 2020 at Harris Hotel.

This activity was attended by 256 State Apparatus (ASN) consisting of 133 Social Counselors Candidates and 123 Social Worker Candidates within the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Services throughout Indonesia.

Competency Test for Social Workers and Social Counselors Functional Appointments through In passing is carried out online using the zoom cloud meeting application where the implementation of in passing is carried out through three mechanisms: written / cognitive test assessment, paper writing assessment, and interview test assessment.

On this occasion the Head of the Education, Research and Social Counseling Board (BP3S), Syahabuddin officially opened a series of competency test activities.

The Head of BP3S, in his direction, said that the Functional Position of a Social Worker and a Social Counselor is a Career Position and in addition to certainly improving employee welfare through an extension of the working period.

With the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Number 33 of 2020, the Social Worker Functional Position has reached the Main Position with a work period of 65 years. Meanwhile, the Social Counselor is in the process of proposing towards the Main Level Social Counselor Functional Position.

To RRI, Wednesday (17/02/2021), the Head of Pusbangprof Peksos & Peksos, Tati Nugrahati explained that "The In passing activity is the last one following the Menpan RB's letter regarding the extension of the implementation of the In passing Competency Test for Social Worker and Social Counselor Functional Positions that "Appointment of State Apparatus in Functional Positions through In passing is carried out until April 6, 2021, and must be appointed no later than April 6, 2021".

Tati Nugrahati hopes that all participants can make the best use of the last opportunity, both for the career interests of each participant and the Ministries / Institutions of each participant.
