BALI (December 1, 2020) - Most of the residents of Bantas Village work as farmers and raise livestock. Unfortunately during this pandemic their income has fallen sharply.

During this pandemic, they are not only resigned and silent, they continue to rack their brains to be able to earn an income. For this they made Maggot Cultivation of baby fly larvae, a black soldier fly that is able to decompose large amounts of organic waste very quickly as well as potential springs in the village.

According to the Village Head (Kades), Maggot has a large enough opportunity to be used as an alternative raw material for high protein (fish) feed for fish growth.

"People easily adopt Maggot production. Then, in the process, Maggot can also be produced into flour (mag meal), so it can reduce the cost of feed production," said Head of Bantas Village.

The Social Counseling Center (Puspensos) of the Ministry of Social Affairs together with the Deputy for Strengthening National Innovation of the Ministry of Research and Technology of the National Agency for Research and Technology see the potential that exists in this Bantas village.

According to the head of Puspensos Hasim, Puspensos will make Bantas village a pilot as a Social Resilience Innovation Village.

According to Hasim, yesterday we formed a Social Resilient Village, now I bring friends from the Deputy for Strengthening National Innovation at the Ministry of Research and Technology of the National Agency for Research and Innovation to upgrade to a Social Resilience Innovation Village.

"Friends of the National Agency for Research and Innovation have many studies on the results of research which will later be implemented to the ladies and gentlemen," Hasim said in a survey to identify the Innovation Village with social resilience, Tuesday, 12/1/2020.

This effort is carried out by transferring technology to village communities to be able to increase the added value of a village innovation product before it is then widely produced to the community.
