Director General of PFM Visits BST Distribution in Central Lampung

LAMPUNG (December 1, 2020) - The Director General of Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama made a working visit to PT Pos Indonesia Gunung Sugih Branch, Central Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. On that occasion, the Director General of PFM handed over the Cash Social Assistance (BST) symbolically to one of the representatives of the beneficiary families (KPM), amounting to Rp300,000.

The activities were attended, among others, by the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, Assistant Secretary of the Central Lampung Regency, Nirlan, Plt. Director of PFM Region I, Laode Taufik, and Director of Network & Financial Services PT Pos Indonesia, Charles Sitorus

The Director General of PFM appreciated the absorption of the social assistance budget by the Lampung Provincial Government and Central Lampung Regency Government which reached around 99 percent.

Based on the data submitted by Plt. The Director of PFM Region I, Laode Taufik, Lampung Province received Social Assistance from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in the form of the Basic Food Program of 777,161 KPM with a value of Rp1,787,470,300,000, Cash Social Assistance (BST) of 264,495 KPM with a value of Rp952.182.000.000.

The Non-PKH Cash Social Assistance amounted to 328,648 KPM with a value of Rp164,324,000,000

Meanwhile for Central Lampung Regency, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided the Basic Food Program to 108,751 KPM with a value of Rp250,127.300.000, BST of 34,203 KPM with a value of Rp.123,180,800,000 and BST of non-PKH of 38,798 KPM with a value of Rp19,399,000,000.

The Director General of PFM, said that BST will be continued until June 2021. Therefore, the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia will collect data from regencies/cities because many have not yet received it. "There will be a data collection. There will be an update in 2021, so please take advantage of it so that the poor and vulnerable are included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS)," he said.

The DTKS, according to the Director General of PFM, is a reference for the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs to distribute Social Assistance. "The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs cannot distribute aid if the names submitted from the regions are not included in the integrated social welfare data," he said.

It is planned that BST in 2021 will be given to 10 million KPM but the nominal amount is equal to the Basic Food Program of Rp200,000/KPM/Month.
