MEDAN (10
November 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the
Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation with Commission VIII of the DPR
RI, led by the Deputy Chairperson of Commission VIII of the DPR RI, TB. Ace
Hasan Syadzily accompanied by the Director General of Social and Social
Rehabilitation and the Secretary General of Social Rehabilitation made a
specific working visit and symbolically handed over the Social Rehabilitation
Assistance (ATENSI) totaling Rp. 1,233,700,000 at the Medan Governor's Office.
This
assistance is given to vulnerable groups and affected by Covid-19, namely
orphans, fatherless and motherless whose parents died due to Covid-19, people
with disabilities, the elderly, and victims of drug abuse in Medan, North
Sumatra.
This ATENSI support
consists of ATENSI Savings assistance for 319 orphans, entrepreneurship
assistance (grocery shop business) for 1 person, accessibility assistance
(wheelchairs, and adaptive sticks) for 56 people, and basic needs assistance
(groceries, nutrition, and self-care) for 327 people.
ATENSI
Savings is worth Rp. 300 thousand per month for children not in school and Rp.
200 thousand per month for children already in school. The distribution and
assessment process is carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs Technical
Implementation Unit, namely Social Rehabilitation Center “Bahagia” Medan and “Insyaf”
Medan.
Muhammad
Yafiz Batubara is 16 years old and is happy to receive the savings and will be
used for school purposes, he aspires to be able to work at Google, he hopes.
In addition
to social rehabilitation assistance for vulnerable people, TB. Ace Hasan
Syadzily also assisted Beneficiary Families from the Directorate
General of Social Protection and Security Program in the amount of Rp. 706,719,500, in the
form of children's food, mattresses, blankets, family kid, kidsware, Red
Mountain Tent (TGM), and Family Multipurpose Tent (TGSK)
"The
Ministry of Social Affairs programs are humanitarian programs, very noble
programs, paying attention to the poor and people in need, especially those affected
by Covid-19, their education, their needs be our attention, so we, Members of
Commission VIII DPR RI always support and approve the budget proposed by the
Ministry of Social Affairs," said Ace.
