Distribution of ATENSI Program with Commission VIII DPR RI in Rokan Hulu Regency
ROKAN HULU
(28 October 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social
Rehabilitation Center “Abiseka” Pekanbaru distributed Social Rehabilitation
Assistance (ATENSI) to persons with disabilities, the elderly, as well as
orphans, motherless and fatherless victims of Covid-19 in Rokan Hulu Regency,
Province of Riau.
The ATENSI support
was provided in the form of 46 packages of nutrition, wheelchairs for 10 people
with disabilities, 16 hearing aids, health mats for the elderly, 6 canes for
the blind, and 6 prosthetic legs in collaboration with Orthoshop Pekanbaru with
a total of Rp. Rp. 136,030,000 as well as compensation to 46 orphans victims of
Covid-19 in the amount of Rp. 10,000,000.
The
provision of this assistance is a follow-up to the results of an assessment of
the data proposed by one of the members of Commission VIII of the DPR RI, Mr.
Achmad. The distribution of aid took place at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
Babussalam Field, Rambah Village and Tambusai Tengah Village, Rokan Hulu
Regency.
Achmad as a
member of Commission VIII of the DPR RI appreciates the performance of the
Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia who is always alert and
responsive to the needs of people who need it.
"We
will always provide real support in the budgeting function for the Ministry of
Social Affairs, one of which is the Orphan program.
Head of the
Pekanbaru Abiseka Center, Ahmad Subarkah, on this occasion also expressed his
happiness to be part of this activity and to be present with Commission VIII of
the DPR RI in providing ATENSI aid which was given after going through the
assessment process and meeting the criteria for the target recipients of the
ATENSI program.
"Hopefully
this accessibility assistance can be useful and can help the beneficiaries in
their daily lives," he said
The
wheelchair assistance recipient, Mr. Muhammad Yamin, expressed his deepest
gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs through Abiseka Pekanbaru.
Furthermore, Mr. Yamin expressed his desire to be able to move independently
using the tools that have been provided.
