Distribution of BST Phase II in Semarang City Reaches 80.10 Percent

SEMARANG (June 17, 2020) - Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Hartono Laras accompanied by the Secretary of the Directorate of Poverty Handling, Nurul Farijati, Director of Directorate of Poverty Handling Region II, I Wayan Wiryawan, surveys the distribution of Cash Social Aid (BST) at Gayamsari Post Office, Semarang City.

In the survey, Semarang City Post Office reported that Phase I Distribution had been carried out around 86.64% from total allocation of 103,058 beneficiaries; meaning Cash Social Aid had been distributed to 89,291. Meanwhile, Phase II distribution had been distributed for 82,551 beneficiaries or around 80.10% of the allocation 103,057 beneficiaries.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs said that the database for the distribution of the Cash Social Aid was from the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

"It is decided that 20 million beneficiaries become the recipient of the Sembako Card/Nine Basic Needs Program, and 9 million beneficiaries are the recipient of this cash aid," explained Hartono Laras.

Other than surveying the distribution of Social Cash Aid in Semarang City, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs also delivered Cash Social Aid directly to one of the beneficiaris who is a person with severe disabilities (Adam Alfiansah) in Mayahan Village, Tawangharjo, Purwodadi, Grobogan Regency.
