JAKARTA
(December 7, 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social
Rehabilitation Center "Melati" Jakarta has completed the Social
Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) support package given to Tamara, a silver woman
whose story has been viral in the media since September 8, 2021.
Tamara
Beneradet Reken, a 54-year-old woman who often earns a living with her
colleagues at the Jalan Gaplek intersection, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Banten
by becoming a silver woman due to being fired from her workplace since the
COVID-19 pandemic, received a quick response from the Jakarta Melati Center
team who then provided Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) and offered to
receive ATENSI services at "Melati" Center Jakarta.
Monday (13/9/2021)
Tamara officially received service at "Melati" Jakarta. The head of
the Jakarta "Melati" Center, Romal Uli Jaya Sinaga, revealed that the
ATENSI service provided to Tamara was based on the results of an ongoing needs
assessment.
"We
respond quickly to information about people who are experiencing a crisis due
to the COVID-19 pandemic. We provide ATENSI services in the Center so that
Tamara can learn more positive things and we mature the concept of
entrepreneurship. If all this time the public has a negative perception of
silver people, in fact, with the right coaching, positive behavior changes will
emerge," said Romal.
"We
also facilitate access to population data by making Family Cards (KK) and
electronic ID cards for Tamara. These two things are very important for every
Indonesian citizen," continued Romal.
"Melati"
Jakarta also provided ATENSI services in the form of components for
entrepreneurship development in the form of selling materials for Japanese
bamboo, health corsets, and other alternative health therapy tools. Tamara has
also received access to the COVID-19 vaccination and regular health checks from
the consultant doctor from the Center.
Tamara was
unable to hide her emotions when she received her KK and KTP directly from the
Head of the Jakarta "Melati" Center.
