BLITAR (15 May 2020) - Previously
it was reported that in order to reduce the impact of COVID-19 for the Former
Beneficiary (PM) Balai "Mulya Jaya" Jakarta,
social assistance worth Rp. 5 million / PM which is used as initial capital to
open a business. After the social assistance funds were disbursed (14/5), today
it was continued with the activities of spending the social assistance funds
according to the business proposals submitted by each PM while still in the
center.
The Head of the Social Assessment
and Advocacy Section, Agung Santoso, accompanied by a team that directly
assisted the former PM explained that this activity was intended to directly
monitor the use of social assistance funds in accordance with their allocation
in the proposed business proposal.
"Assistance for social
assistance spending aims to ensure and at the same time monitor the utilization
of social assistance funds that have been given to the former PM. The items
spent are sewing equipment, food processing equipment, basic necessities, etc.
The items purchased are adjusted to the type of business of each. -Each ex-PM,
such as sewing business, grocery store business, and culinary business,
"explained Agung.
Located in one of the markets in
the Blitar area, the former PM seemed so enthusiastic and eager to investigate
one by one the materials to be purchased. For them, this social assistance fund
is very useful as initial capital in starting their business. Especially during
the current Covid-19 pandemic, the distribution of social assistance is not an
ordinary thing but has become a special sustenance for the former PM.
"IN", who used to be a
Woman Victim of Violence due to the treatment of her parents, expresses her
gratitude and happiness because today is a good day in her life. The previous
condition that made him feel pessimistic about continuing his life, now a new
spirit has emerged.
"Alhamdulillah Ma'am, I can be independent, I did not think that now
I could be given assistance like this. Moreover, yesterday I was mentored,
taught many things by social workers, instructors, and other employees. Thank
you very much, ma'am," said IN while choosing the sewing tool will buy.
Likewise, "D", the
former PM from Kediri, said that the social assistance given to him would be
used to open a Warung Sosis Bakar business to help his family's economy.
"My hope is that with this
assistance from the Ministry of Social, we can all work and be independent and
be even more active in doing business," said D, who was accompanied by his
mother when spending social assistance funds.
While in the center, the former
PM was provided with Livelihood Therapy or a livelihood in the form of skill
activities such as sewing, bridal make-up, handicrafts, batik, and culinary.
This program is deliberately prepared for the independence of the PM when he
returns to the community in order to improve his economic standard as well as
his social life.
