BANDUNG
(21/10/2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Social Rehabilitation
Center "Abiyoso" in Cimahi provided Social Rehabilitation Assistance
(ATENSI) support to a person with a physical disability with the initials OG on
Thursday 21 October 2021.
ATENSI support
provided in the form of medical expenses as well as outpatient assistance worth
Rp.2,940,000, starting from pick-up at the residence, treatment at the Immanuel
Hospital Bandung (Wound Care Polyclinic), to delivery back to his residence.
OG's
physical limitations are the result of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) which he
has suffered since 1991. Due to this disease, OG has become completely
paralyzed so he needs to use a wheelchair for activities. He could only lie
down and sit continuously, OG also had Decubitus. This condition causes holes
and sores in areas of the skin that have been depressed for too long.
The OG decubitus
disease should be cleaned regularly and receive treatment at the hospital.
However, due to the high cost of treatment and transportation, it has been the
last year since OG has not checked himself again. His wound care was only done
independently at home by his wife and brother.
The person
in charge of the Wound Care polyclinic, Sierly Sevianty, who already knows OG,
said that the support from the patient's family so far has been extraordinary,
making OG very strong and great in undergoing treatment. For this reason, the
hospital is grateful for the support from the government for OG. So did OG and
his family.
"I am very grateful, Thank God, hopefully, this (ATENSI) will be a blessing and I will always be strong and healthy," concluded OG.
