JAMBI (19 May 2020) - Social assistance (Bansos) provided to 850 children spread across 37 Child Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA) in Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu and Bangka Belitung Islands, valued at Rp. 1 million is currently in the activity implementation stage.
Based on the Technical Guidelines for Child Social Rehabilitation Assistance, there are 4 types of social assistance activities, one of which is Assistive Assistance. Provision of Assistance is an effort to fulfill nutrition, course financing, recreational activities and / or other activities as needed.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, allotment assistance could be used to purchase supplements and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, hand sanitizers and gloves.
Monday (18/5), Head of "Alyatama" Children's Center, Imron Rosadi symbolically handed over assistance to children in 2 LKSA Jambi City, namely LKSA Budi Asih and Taman Anak Sejahtera Yabe Lale. Not only in Jambi City, the provision of Assistance has been carried out at other LKSAs who received Child Social Assistance in 2020 by getting assistance from the Social Service and Social Workers' Service in their area. The Assistance Package which contains nutritious food such as milk, green beans, vitamins, etc. as well as PPE can be used by children in 37 LKSA.
