JAKARTA (20 December 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs completed a series of events to commemorate the 2021 National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands with the theme "Strengthening Prosperous Indonesian Solidarity".

 

The 2021 HKSN Peak Event will take place at the Office of the Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Jalan Pulau Bangka, Air Itam Pangkal Pinang Village, starting at 07.00 WIB.

 

In the 2021 HKSN Peak Event, the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, invited all elements of Indonesian society to work hand in hand, to donate energy, thoughts, time, property, and even lives, to save those infected with COVID-19 and prevent its spread, as well as help those affected. economically.

 

"We are all called to roll up our sleeves, donate our energy, thoughts, and whatever we have to help each other, our brothers and sisters," said Risma.

 

The Social Rehabilitation Center "Melati" Jakarta as one of the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of the Ministry of Social Affairs is present and fully contributes to the series of events to commemorate the 2021 HKSN. The Jakarta "Melati" Center provides Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) support to 836 people who need Social Welfare Services Recipients (PPKS) consisting of persons with disabilities, orphans/fatherless/motherless, and other vulnerable groups affected by COVID-19 from Bangka Regency, West Bangka Regency, Central Bangka Regency, South Bangka Regency, and Pangkal Pinang City.

 

The total ATENSI support distributed by “Melati" Center Jakarta in the 2021 HKSN commemoration event is Rp. 1,163,811,770,- which is given in four components of ATENSI, namely the fulfillment of basic needs in the form of necessities and nutrition for 471 people.

 

Entrepreneurship assistance for chickens, basic food stalls, fried foods and juices for 34 people, accessibility support in the form of adaptive walking sticks and wheelchairs for 170 people, and provision of savings for orphans (YAPI) who lost their parents due to COVID-19 for 161 children.

 

Iswan, a person with a hearing-speech sensory disability, looks happy because he was chosen to receive entrepreneurship ATENSI support in the form of motorcycle washing business equipment with a total assistance value of Rp. 5,681,000 and was immediately handed over by Social Minister Risma.

 

"Thank you, Minister. Thank you for helping me," said Iswan in sign language.

"Melati" Center Jakarta also displayed various works of beneficiaries at the HKSN Exhibition including wooden birdcages, embroidered veils, various tote bags, tissue holders, and various food preparations that were successfully attracted by exhibition visitors.
