BANDUNG (December 13, 2021) – Social Rehabilitation Center “Soeharso” Surakarta in collaboration with the Bandung Social Welfare Education and Training Center, organized Vocational Guidance and Entrepreneurship for Skin Skills in Bandung.

 

This activity is a continuation of the previous activity of Crocodile Skin Skills Vocational Guidance which was held in Jayapura City, from 21 to 30 November 2021. The activity in Bandung was attended by 84 (eighty-four) participants consisting of 26 (twenty-six) participants of Social Welfare Service Recipients from Papua and as many as 58 (fifty-eight) delegates from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

 

The opening of the activity was opened directly by the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini, and accompanied by Acting Director-General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, and Special Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs Luhur Budjiarso.

 

Social Minister Risma said in her speech that this activity is MoSA's commitment to the Papuan people. "This activity is not the last activity, it is the beginning of a series of training that will be intended for the Papuan people, in the future, there will be more vocational guidance and business assistance for the Papuan people", said Social Minister Risma.

 

"I am sure that all of my friends are capable, not only consumers but also producers. PPKS from Papua was deliberately brought to Bandung not only to learn techniques but also to learn elements of creativity, art, and marketing," continued Risma.

 

Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs hopes that Papuan friends will take advantage of the opportunity, don't waste it, to get provisions for future livelihoods so that we have meaning for ourselves, our families, and others.

 

On that occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs handed over symbolic ATENSI support of Rp. 740.000.000,- which consists of a training fee package of Rp. 610,000,000,- and a self-reliance aid package of Rp. 130,000,000.-. Individual assistance was given symbolically to Luther Fiwey, PPKS representative from ICCI Sentani Jayapura City, each PPKS from Papua received ATENSI support of Rp. 5.000.000,- which is intended for 26 (twenty-six) participants from Papua.

 

Also present at the opening of the event: Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Special Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for PPKS and PSKS, Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities, Secretary of Badiklit, Head of Soeharso Center Surakarta, Head of Poltekesos Bandung, Head of B2P2KS Bandung, Head of B2P2KS Yogyakarta, Representative of the West Java Industry Office, the Head of Social Rehabilitation Centers (Balai) of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the activity participants from PPKS Papua and delegates from the Balai of Ministry of Social Affairs.
