Inaugurated the 7th ATENSI Creation Center, Social Minister: Here We Train and Empower Beneficiaries

JAKARTA (9 September 2021) - Social Minister Tri
Rismaharini inaugurated the 7th ATENSI Creation Center at Social Rehabilitation
Center Mulya Jaya, Jakarta. This inauguration was also accompanied by the
delivery of support for Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) to
beneficiaries in DKI Jakarta with total assistance of Rp. 714.5 million.
Minister of Social
Affairs Tri Rismaharini visited several booths at the ATENSI Creation Center,
namely Makeup and Salon, Culinary, Sewing Gallery, Mini Mart, Plant/Fish
Cultivation, and Handycraft. The ATENSI Creation Center can be filled by
beneficiaries of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Social Welfare Institutions, and the general public.
"There are various
beneficiaries of ATENSI. Some are because of domestic violence, some are
because of drug victims, homeless people and beggars, neglected children,
people with disabilities, and the elderly. We empower and train them for
business. There are also businesses that residents can entrust here (at
the ATENSI Creation Center) or you can sell here without any rental fees. In
this activity we also provide assistance for orphans, fatherless and motherless
whose parents died due to Covid-19, "explained Social Minister Risma to
the media crew.
The ATENSI program has
the full support of Commission VIII of the DPR RI. "We will support it in
terms of policy and budget. We hope that Social Minister Risma's breakthrough
and leap will continue to receive support from all parties. This is dharma
for community service," said Yandri Susanto, Chairman of Commission VIII
DPR RI.
The ATENSI Creation
Center aims to increase the entrepreneurship and vocational skills of
beneficiaries, create job opportunities for beneficiaries, increase the level
of social welfare of beneficiaries and create shopping and recreational areas
in one area.
Beneficiaries can
explore their abilities in entrepreneurship. This can be seen from the presentation
of the ATENSI Creation Center which is full of Indonesian cuisine and
handicrafts.
"I eat meatballs and
juice, there are also several other foods that are served and all of them taste
good. All the snacks price here are cheap. It just needs to be kept neat and
hygienic. My suggestion is also for a good payment system to use the cashless system
so that people pay more easily, "said Luhur Budijarso Lulu, Special Staff
to the Minister of Social Affairs for the Social Welfare Service Recipients and
Potential Resources for Social Welfare.
Tati Purwati (34 years old), one of the beneficiaries
of Mulya Jaya since March 2021 has been involved in various activities such as
culinary training and religious activities. Tati, who was originally a silver
person whom Social Minister Risma met on the street, is now studying
entrepreneurship at the ATENSI Creation Center, which is opening a Mini Mart.
"Thank God, the turnover per day can reach Rp.
400 thousand - Rp. 500 thousand. If the profit a week can be pocketed Rp. 400
thousand. I have also been able to send money to my brother in Cirebon to tidy
up my mother's grave," she said.
Tati said that she aspires to open her own business in
Cirebon. She will use the proceeds to tidy up the house left by her late
mother.
ATENSI support
distributed in DKI Jakarta
In the agenda of the inauguration of the ATENSI
Creation Center, Social Minister Risma also symbolically distributed the
support for Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) with total assistance
of Rp. 714.5 million to beneficiaries in DKI Jakarta.
ATENSI support was given to 104 orphans whose parents
died of Covid-19 in the form of savings, 113 beneficiaries in the form of
entrepreneurial equipment, 230 persons with disabilities in the form of
accessibility assistance, and 121 beneficiaries in the form of basic needs.
Social Minister Risma continues to motivate the
beneficiaries, one of which is children whose parents have left because of
Covid-19. "Currently you are orphans, fatherless or motherless because you
are loved by God. There is no need to be discouraged and inferior. You have
the same right to success as long as there is a will. Let's prove that you are
the pride of your parents," said Social Minister Risma.
The target in 2021, as many as 172,500 orphans, fatherless
and motherless whose parents died due to Covid-19 will receive ATENSI support
in the form of savings from Bank Mandiri. The index is for school children,
ATENSI support in the form of savings is Rp. 200 thousand/month, while for
children who have not gone to school, the savings given are Rp. 300
thousand/month.
Yandri Susanto added that for 2022, not only orphans, fatherless
and motherless due to Covid-19 will receive ATENSI support, but all orphans, fatherless
and motherless. "It's been agreed, Commission VIII of the DPR RI has
approved the prepared budget of Rp. 11.3 trillion for 4.05 million orphans, fatherless
and motherless," said Yandri.
This ATENSI support is a collaboration of several Social
Rehabilitation Center, among others “Inten Soeweno” Cibinong, “Mulya Jaya”
Jakarta, “Panasea” Jakarta, “Handayani” Jakarta, “Melati” Jakarta, “Budhi
Dharma” Bekasi, “Pangudi Luhur” Bekasi, “Galih Pakuan” Bogor, “Wyata Guna” Bandung,
“Abiyoso” Cimahi and “Kahuripan” Sukabumi.
Personally, Social Minister Risma also provided 2
units of sewing machines for the Kumala Social Welfare Institution (LKS), 3
units for LKS Swara Peduli, 4 units for LKS Balarenik, 2 units for LKS KPIM, 2
units for LKS ERBE, 2 units for LKS KDM and 20 units for the Association of
Indonesian Women with Disabilities (HWDI). This sewing machine will be used by beneficiaries
assisted by the LKS-LKS.
Partners of the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely the
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) also provided grants in the form
of 2 ambulances which were given to Handayani Jakarta and PSBR Taruna Jaya 1
Jakarta.
The inauguration of the Mulya Jaya ATENSI Creation
Center was attended by the Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, Inspector
General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Director General of Social
Empowerment, Special Staff to the Minister of Social Affairs, Expert Staff of
the Minister of Social Affairs and Heads of Greater Jakarta Social
Rehabilitation Center.
