YOGYAKARTA (23 November 2019) - The Center for Social Education (Puspensos) continues to improve the capacity of social extension workers. One of them is through the Training of Facilitator (ToF) Social Extension Functional Officer.

"Increasing the competency of Social Extension Functional Officials and being able to Equate the perception and commitment of social extension functional officials in carrying out social extension activities is the goal of this activity," said Hasim, Head of Puspensos in his report at Novotel Hotel Yogyakarta, Friday (11/22/2019)

I also hope that in this activity a synergistic work plan can be realized between the Center for Social Welfare Education and Training, Puspensos and the Center for Social Welfare Research and Development. Add Hasim

Meanwhile on the same occasion, Head of the Social Education and Counseling Agency (Badiklit Pensos) Ministry of Social Affairs (Ministry of Social Affairs) Syahabuddin in his remarks conveyed "Social Counseling as a basic and initial movement to be able to better provide program readiness and benefits"

"Revitalizing social counseling as a basic motion for development / implementation of social welfare is important to be carried out by realizing the Social Resilience Village program," Syahabuddin explained

Village / Village of Social Resilience is a geographical and / or administrative area where the population / community has the resources, abilities and willingness to prevent and overcome social welfare problems independently and sustainably.

Until 2019, 935 people have been formed Community Social Instructors from 935 villages in 34 Provinces. this number feels very less when compared to the number of villages in Indonesia which reached 83,447.

This means that the reach of social counseling is still very limited, with a coverage of 1.12%.

According to Hasim, in the future Puspensos will continue to work together with the Center for Social Welfare Education and Training in an effort to accelerate the reach of social outreach.

The Center for Social Welfare Education and Training will also carry out Basic Training of Community Social Extension Workers as a Pilot Project in seven Provinces.

Participants in this activity numbered 184 functional social extension officers. came from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, Provincial / District / City Social Services, Social Rehabilitation Center and Social Service Institution.
