KONAWE (22 December 2021) - Konawe Regent Saiful Kery Konggoasa welcomed the 79 Disability aids distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Social Rehabilitation Center "Meohai" Kendari.

 

The handover of disability aids includes wheelchairs intended for people with physical disabilities or who experience paralysis in the legs, smart sticks with a signal to detect various objects for the blind, crutches as walking aids, and hearing aids (ABD) for people with hearing and speech disabilities.

 

A slick collaboration with "Meohai" Center Kendari or better known as Meohai Center Kendari in collaboration with the District Social Service. Konawe at the handover of disability aids was coupled with a spectacular event, namely mass vaccination organized by the District Government. Konawe is running smoothly. The Disability Aid was symbolically handed over by the Konawe Regent Kery Saiful Konggoasa at Lasandara Field, Wawotobi sub-district which was attended by the Southeast Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Pol Teguh Pristiwanto, Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Deputy Chief Brigadier General Waris Agono, Danrem 143 Halu Oleo Brigadier General Senjaya, and Konawe Police Chief AKBP Wasis Santoro, Head of Meohai Center Kendari and Head of the District Social Service of Konawe Muspida elements, including the Kapolda, Wakapolda, Danrem, and Kapolres, also handed over assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

 

On this occasion, Kery Saiful Konggoasa expressed his deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs for paying attention to its citizens.

 

"I invite all the people of Konawe to be grateful for the assistance provided by the Central Government, especially the Ministry of Social Affairs with the Covid-19 outbreak that has hit us, the Ministry of Social Affairs has provided a lot of assistance, starting from the Covid Basic Food Assistance, PKH, assistance for the elderly, now we wheelchairs, canes, etc. were brought. Therefore, I invite the whole community of Konawe to come together and support and succeed the programs from the Central Government for our common benefit," said Kery in his speech.

 

The day before Meohai Center and the Regency Social Service. Konawe also collaborated to hand over disability aids at Sampara Raya Field, Sampara Regency in a series of mass vaccination events for 4 sub-districts in Konawe Regency which was also attended by the Regent and other Muspida elements.

 

The Head of the Meohai Center, Budi Sucahyo explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs through Meohai Center not only provided disability aids but also provided ATENSI assistance for 5 people with hearing and speech disabilities from Konawe Regencies who has completed social rehabilitation at Meohai Center Kendari.

 

It is hoped that the ATENSI assistance will become business capital for the beneficiaries so that they can be socially independent.
