JAKARTA
(27 August 2021) – "Melati" Center distributes 3,000 food packages from Bank Sahabat Sampoerna and the Sahabat Mitra Sejati Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP) for communities affected by Covid-19 in the DKI Jakarta area.
The handover of aid was carried out directly
by the Corporate Communication and Investor Relations of Bank Sahabat
Sampoerna, Ridy Sudarma symbolically to the Head of Melati Center on Thursday
(26/8/2021) at the Melati Center Jakarta.
In his remarks, Ridy Sudarma explained that
Bank Sahabat Sampoerna and its business partner, KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati
synergize with the Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM)
Office and the local Police to take action to care for the community affected
by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The Covid-19 pandemic is already in its
second year. In July and August last year, we distributed 10 thousand food
packages in 34 cities and regencies throughout Indonesia. This year, we again
distributed 10 thousand food packages for the people of Indonesia. We are
collaborating with Melati Center, which has an extensive network of vulnerable
groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," said Ridy.
Bank Sahabat Sampoerna, continues Ridy, prioritizes social services even though it provides financial and business-oriented services.
"We thank you for the willingness of the Melati Center
to help with the distribution process of distributing 3,000 food packages,”
said Ridy.
Responding to this, the Head of Melati Center,
Romal Uli Jaya Sinaga, also expressed his appreciation for the assistance of
basic food packages aimed at the community.
“We are both facing difficult times during the
Covid-19 pandemic. The collaboration of various parties to help each other is
certainly a blessing in itself. We are honored to receive the trust to distribute
assistance to the Beneficiaries (PM) whose data we have managed responsibly.
Hopefully, later this kind of caring action will be carried out more massively
to reduce the crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic," said Romal.
