BANDUNG
(February 1st, 2020) - The "Wyata
Guna" Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Visual Sensory
Disabilities (BRSPDSN) in Bandung was visited by Diah Pitaloka and Selly
Andriany, Member of Commission VIII DPR RI. Both of them directly listened to
and understood the viral problems that had emerged so far, namely the Ministry
of Social Affairs being opposite to Disabilities.
"It turned out that after seeing it
firsthand, the Ministry of Social Affairs was still together with the
disabilities even gratefully they were invited back to the hall," said
Selly.
Selly further explained that like the
word hall, a university is a higher level where their existence is confirmed by
the state to develop its hidden potential. This is what we better focus on than
the transition from an orphanage to a hall.
"As a historical actor in the
making of the Regional Regulation on Disability in West Java, where the
regional regulation is the only one in Indonesia, it turns out that the current
implementation of the West Java Province is not yet ready to provide basic
services for disabilities," said Sally. Diah added that of course
Commission VIII encouraged the West Java Provincial Government to revitalize
West Java assets to create basic service institutions.
Regarding the Minister of Social Affairs
Number 18 of 2018, Diah Pitaloka clarified that this Minister of Social Affairs
is already in accordance with disabilities and it does not put in order the
institution regulation, only regulates the technicalities of the rehabilitation
center SOTK within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the
Ministry of Social Affairs RI. So the Indonesian Parliament supports the
Ministry of Social Affairs to build and improve further services at the hall.
