SUBANG (November 5, 2020) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara together with the Indonesian Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (PDTT), A. Halim Iskandar, made a working visit to Subang, West Java Province. The working visit was carried out at the Manyeti Village Office, Dawuan District, Subang Regency, West Java.

Present on the occasion were the Director General of Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama, Deputy Governor of West Java, UU Ruzhanul Ulum, Regent of Subang, H. The Minister of Social Affairs said that the synergy carried out with the Ministry of PDTT, was intended to accelerate poverty alleviation, especially in villages where the majority of people were poor. "Such as this, among others (the synergy) for example, in this village, the funds for Cash Direct Assistance (BLT) are lacking, we (the Ministry of Social Affairs) can still handle it, we will transfer it to Cash Social Assistance (BST), but we will clean the data from the Ministry of Village first," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Furthermore, in the direction of the Minister of PDTT, he said that there should be no Indonesian people who were not covered by the social safety net that was made by President Joko Widodo. "In principle, humanitarian affairs for President Joko Widodo exceed other matters, regardless of the economic conditions, especially for Indonesians who are affected by COVID-19, it must be taken care of properly, that's the president's commitment," said Minister of PDTT to the Family Beneficiaries (KPM) who were present.

Previously, a welcome speech was conveyed by the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum. The activity ended with a review by the Minister of Social Affairs and the Minister of PDTT accompanied by the Director General of PFM viewing a simulation of the distribution of Cash Social Assistance (BST) through PT. Pos Indonesia and the Basic Food Program through Bank BRI.
