JAKARTA
(November 9, 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs together with
the Korean Government has demonstrated their commitment in efforts to handle
the impact of COVID-19, especially for the younger generation from vulnerable
groups through KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency).
Director of
Child Social Rehabilitation, Kanya Eka Santi and Mr. Yun Gil JEONG, and Deputy
Country Director Mr. Jeongshin CHO handed over assistance to improve hygiene
conditions at the child social rehabilitation center which was symbolically
handed over.
The handover
ceremony was held at Social Rehabilitation Center “Handayani” for Children
Needing Special Protection (BRSAMPK). The assistance that was part of the
COVID-19 Program that was handed over included operational vehicles for the
rapid reaction team, ambulances, medical equipment for COVID-19 prevention, and
medicines.
On the same
occasion, Mr. Yun Gil Jeong also said that KOICA and the Ministry of Social
Affairs will continue development cooperation which will contribute to
improving the quality of children's social rehabilitation centers in several
locations in Indonesia.
