PEKANBARU (1 September 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center Dharma Guna Bengkulu distributed the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) package to 30 Beneficiaries of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Bina Laras Social Service of Riau Province.

ATENSI assistance is provided in the form of goods in the form of medical equipment such as masks and hand sanitizers, additional nutrients, and vitamins as well as agricultural equipment and supplies.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, symbolically handed over the assistance to one of the beneficiaries, Doni, together with the Governor of Riau Province, H. Syamsuar, Member of Commission VIII RI, H. Achmad, and the Mayor of Pekanbaru, H. Firdaus at Abiseka Center Riau.

ATENSI assistance was given based on the results of an assessment carried out by the Dharma Guna Bengkulu team.

"This assistance must be used properly, such as masks and hand sanitizers to prevent exposure to Covid-19 in our bodies," said Kartika Ari, Social Counselor at Dharma Guna Center.

Agricultural skills assistance is provided because UPT Bina Laras has the potential to develop agricultural skills for beneficiaries to learn and practice and can later become entrepreneurs.

Doni, one of the PMs who received the assistance, expressed his pleasure with this and being able to meet directly with the Minister of Social Affairs.

In addition to providing ATENSI assistance, the Dharma Guna Bengkulu Team also conducted Advocacy for Beneficiaries to obtain their Residential Rights. All PM UPT Bina Laras are People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) and are not identified so that they are not known to have a Population Identification Number (NIK).

Therefore, the team together with the Social Worker of UPT Bina Laras visited the Population and Civil Registry Office of Pekanbaru City and met with the Head of Population Registry and Head of Population Data Section to consult regarding registration and checking of population data.

Later, the Pekanbaru City Disdukcapil will check the retina of the eye to determine the ownership of the NIK of each PM.
