MAGELANG (28 September 2021) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center “Antasena” Magelang has distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) support in the form of assistance to fulfill basic needs for orphans, fatherless and motherless whose parents died due to the impact of Covid-19.

 

A total of 86 ATENSI packages were distributed in 4 districts in Central Java and 1 district in Yogyakarta, namely Magelang City with 3 packages, Salatiga City with 16 packages, Temanggung Regency with 15 packages, Boyolali Regency with 10 packages, and Bantul Regency with 48 packages.

 

One district in Yogyakarta, namely Gunung Kidul Regency, has distributed ATENSI support for orphans whose parents died of Covid-19 on 2 September 2021 ago.

 

Following the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, the Ministry of Social Affairs will assist orphans whose parents died due to exposure to Covid-19. Previously, data collection and needs assessment were carried out by the Social Rehabilitation Companion in collaboration with the Provincial and Regency/City Social Services.

 

The Head of Section for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly, Suryanti, who represents the Social Service of Bantul Regency, expressed her gratitude for the ATENSI support distributed in Bantul Regency. "Hopefully this assistance can increase their enthusiasm to stay in school and sincerely accept the reality," he added.

 

"I thank you profusely for the assistance given to me, this assistance is very useful for my school needs and can lighten my mother's burden," said Malik, one of the recipients of ATENSI assistance who is currently in class XI of one of the senior high schools in Yogyakarta.
