CIBINONG
(26 August 2021) – As a form of the
Ministry of Social's attention to Troubled Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMIB)
from Malaysia last June, Social Rehabilitation Center "Ciungwanara" Bogor
carried out a follow-up by providing assistance and business capital assistance
to Widi, one of the PMIBs from Indonesia, Bogor Regency.
Previously, the "Ciungwanara" team,
represented by Social Workers, carried out a preliminary assessment in order to
obtain detailed and valid beneficiary data.
Based on the results of the assessment, it is
known that Widi was sent home because he did not have complete documents, so he
was forced to be sent home by the Malaysian government. Since then, Widi has
not had a permanent livelihood. When meeting with the Center’s officials, Widi
conveyed his intention to sell noodles and coffee.
"Coming back from Malaysia, I became
unemployed and had no income. If I was given the opportunity to get help from
the government, in this case, the Ministry of Social Affairs, I would like to
sell small shop that serves noodles and drinks such as coffee, tea and
ice," said Widi.
Responding to Widi's wish, the Ministry of
Social Affairs through the "Ciungwanara" Center provided assistance
in the form of equipment for selling. Accompanied by the TRC of the Bogor Regency
Social Service, today Ciungwanara Center handed over assistance to Widi.
"We provide assistance as a form of
concern from the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini. Please use it well,
so that you can make money to meet the needs of life. Keep the spirit, believe
that God will not give trials beyond the ability of the people," said the
Head of the "Ciungwanara" Center, Siti Sari Rukmayanti.
