Ministry of Social Affairs Provides ATENSI Assistance for Orphans in North Luwu
MASAMBA (August 24, 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through the "Pangurangi" Takalar Center provided ATENSI services
for business assistance and nutrition for orphan families in North Luwu
Regency.
The head of the
"Pangurangi" Center, Pengalamen Surbakti, said that according to the
direction of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, the social
rehabilitation center under the Ministry of Social Affairs should immediately
conduct an assessment and provide ATENSI assistance to orphans, fatherless and motherless
affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The social counselor of
the Pangurangi Center, Bayu said that from the assessment carried out and the
field review conducted by the Social Worker and Social Counselor, it was known
that the beneficiaries and their mothers lived with their closest relatives. To
meet daily needs, the mother sells instant drinks and cakes.
