SUKABUMI (August 20, 2021) - In order to fulfill the
rights of assistive devices for persons with disabilities, the Ministry of Social
Affairs through the Social Rehabilitation Center “Ciungwanara” Bogor handed
over aids for 42 persons with visual sensory disabilities.
The visual aids that were
handed out this time consisted of a talking laptop, talking clock, magnifying
glass, reading stand, braille whiteboard, folding stick, tactile ruler, blind
chess and riglet.
This activity of
providing aids was carried out at Special School (SLB) Budi Nurani, Sukabumi
City, which was attended by all SLB students.
The Social Worker of
Ciungwanara explained that prior to the handing over of the visual aids, there
was an assessment stage beforehand so that the blinds provided were in
accordance with the conditions and needs of the recipients of the aids.
The head of the
Ciungwanara Center, Siti Sari Rukmayanti, who was also present at the activity,
advised the beneficiaries so that the aids provided could be put to good use.
"Please use this
assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs well, hopefully, it can increase
the enthusiasm for learning," she explained in her speech in front of 42 SLB
Budi Nurani students.
In addition to carrying
out the delivery of aids, at the same time, Ciungwanara also signed a
Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with SLB A and SLB C Budi Nurani Sukabumi City to
facilitate the process of providing services for the Social Rehabilitation
Assistance (ATENSI) program.
Rafa, one of the aid
recipients, looks enthusiastic and wants to immediately use the reading stand
provided.
"I want to quickly use it for studying at home," he said enthusiastically.
