Ministry of Social Affairs Responds to Viral Cases, a Toddler with Atresia Ani

January 2022) – Social Rehabilitation Center “Prof. Dr. Soeharso”
Surakarta followed up on the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs to
respond to the case of a toddler named M. Haidar Dhanu Abrisam (2 years old)
who suffers from Atresia Ani and his parents have never received any
assistance.
The case response
team of Soeharso Center Surakarta coordinated with the Social Office of
Sidoarjo Regency to obtain the necessary information. Accompanied by TKSK,
Social Rehabilitation Assistant, social workers, and the case response team
continued to coordinate with the Ketegan Village Apparatus, Tanggulangin
District, Sidoarjo.
M. Haidar Dhanu has
a healthy physical condition, a fit, and healthy body, but suffers from Atresia
Ani, which is a condition where the end of the large intestine to the anus is
not fully formed. Ever received the first surgical service in the form of
making a temporary anal canal at the waist from RSUD dr. Soetomo Surabaya with
BPJS facilities.
However, until now
there has been no follow-up operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile,
according to information, M. Haidar Dhanu's parents, who belong to a
pre-prosperous family, have not received any assistance from the government.
Other assessment
results show the condition of M. Haidar Dhanu, including a child who is active,
agile, and easy to get along with anyone even though he meets new people. Normal
growth and development.
The socio-economic
conditions of his parents who live in the village of Ketegan, Tanggulangin,
Sidoarjo, occupy the permanent house of the family. Haidar Dhanu's father and
mother work in a cigarette factory. When his parents worked, Haidar Dhanu was
entrusted to his neighbor.
The economic
condition of Haidar Dhanu's parents, his father's income is Rp. 70,000/day. While
his mother earns Rp. 60,000/day. Haidar Dhanu's parents have never received
assistance because they have only lived at the current address for the past 3
years so they have not been included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data
(DTKS).
Urgent needs that
are met are basic, in the form of a colostomy bag (to collect feces) and
further surgery to create an anal canal.
On January 17,
2022, the Deputy Regent of Sidoarjo Regency and Head of Tanggulangin District
visited Haidar Dhanu and promised to speed up the second operation for Haidar
Dhanu.
The ATENSI support
provided included colostomy bags (to collect feces) and diapers. Nutritional
assistance in the form of milk, chicken eggs, biscuits, honey, and vitamins.
