Ministry of Social Affairs Together with Members of Commission VIII DPR Distribute ATENSI Aid in Pekalongan Regency

PEKALONGAN
REGENCY (November 3, 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation with members
of Commission VIII House of Representatives (DPR RI) continues to assist in fulfilling children's rights by providing Social Rehabilitation
Assistance (ATENSI) aid in the framework of a specific working visit of
Commission VIII DPR RI in Pekalongan Regency Central Java Province.
This time,
ATENSI aid was provided by the Acting Director General of Social Rehabilitation, represented
by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Idit
Supriadi Priatna, and members of Commission VIII DPR RI TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily
and his entourage in the Hall of the Regent's Office of Pekalongan Regency,
Central Java, Jalan Alun-Alun Utara No. 1 Kajen.
This ATENSI aid
was given to 80 orphans, fatherless and motherless in the form of ATENSI savings
and aid for 44 people with disabilities in the form of accessibility aids, 162
basic needs assistance, 219 entrepreneurship assistance, and business
development assistance for KPM Graduation PKH 2 people, with total assistance
of Rp837,403,350,00.
ATENSI
Savings is worth Rp300,000,00 per month for children not yet in school and Rp200,000,00
per month for children already in school. Assistance for children with
disabilities is provided according to the results of the assessment, namely in
the form of wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, Adaptive Guide Sticks (TPA),
screen printing work tools, livestock, businesses selling fruit juice, as well
as providing non-formal education (courses). The distribution and assessment
process is carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs’ Technical
Implementation Unit: Social Rehabilitation Center “Kartini” Temanggung and Baturraden.
This working
visit is the first specific visit to ensure that various Ministry of Social
Affairs programs are deployed in Pekalongan Regency, besides that the
assistance can be realized properly, on target, and following the
updated Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), "said TB. Ace Hasan
Syadzily.
Ace also
added that the Ministry of Social Affairs has many programs that are directly
related to the community, for example, the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash
Food Assistance (BPNT), and also Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI),
especially assistance for orphans. We will make laws for orphans"', said
Ace.
Fadiah
Arafiq, the Regent of Pekalongan Regency, also hopes for assistance from the
Ministry of Social Affairs to assist the poor in Pekalongan
Regency.
"The breakthrough that we are doing now is
to give a label to every house of our community that has received assistance so
that the assistance is not double and it is hoped that the assistance will be
right on target", Faida Arafiq hoped.
Based
on data submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs as of November 1, 2021, 38,360 children became orphans due to Covid-19. From all these
data, the number of children who have been given Social Rehabilitation
Assistance (ATENSI) support through the Social Rehabilitation Center amounted
to 13,255.
Ro'ati
(51 years old) from Pulo Village, Rembang District, Rembang Regency, Central
Java, has been running a laundry business for 2 (two) years with a daily income
of Rp. 180 thousand or 30 kg of clothes she received.
"I
am very grateful and very happy to get help in the form of a washing machine,
hopefully, this assistance can increase income in the laundry business that has
been running so far and the business is growing and income is increasing",
Ro'ati hoped.
In
addition, Sadiah (35 years old), the mother of Putri Roza Barokah (3 years old)
expressed her gratitude and thanks for the help given to her child, hopefully, it can be useful and will be used for the needs of her children.
“I hope that I want to take care of my children well so that they become pious children
and later can help parents according to the message of the deceased so that I
can take care of my children well," said Sadiah.
It
is different with Mrs. Nurjati (37 years) mother of Nur Fariza (9 years old)
who was born by C-section and when she was 9 months old she had a high fever and was immediately taken to the hospital. She was in 7 hours of coma that cause
neurological disorders in the back of the head which at this time she can only
cry if hungry or thirsty, if she has been given food and drink it will be quiet
and play alone.
"I
am very grateful to get the help of a wheelchair so that it can be used to
play, can go out of the house and I hope that God will give healing to
my child and if not I will continue to care for him until the end of his
life", she hoped sadly.
This
specific working visit was attended by the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII
DPR RI TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily and members of Commission VIII DPR RI, Regent of
Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq, Head of Central Java District Attorney's Office Abun
Hasbulloh Syambas, Pekalongan Police Chief Fajar Satria, Secretary of Directorate
General of Social Rehabilitation, Head of Social Rehabilitation Center “Kartini”
Temanggung and “Baturraden” and other invitees.
