BULELENG (August 25, 2021) - The Ministry of
Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center "Mahatmiya" Bali
visited an elderly Luh Sita (85 years) who lived in an uninhabitable house in
the Banjar Dinas Kejekangin, Kubuaddan Village, Kubuaddan District, Buleleng
Regency, Bali Province.
As directed by the Minister of Social Affairs
Tri Rismaharini, the "Mahatmiya" Center represented by the Head of
Social Rehabilitation Services Herlin Wahyuni Hidayat coordinated with the
Head of the Buleleng Regency Social Service, I Putu Karimaman over the truth of
the viral news. The Head of Social Service Office of Buleleng also confirmed
the news circulating on social media that Luh Sita's information and
whereabouts were within his working area.
The case response team then moved to the
location and visited Luh Sita's house accompanied by the Head of Social Service
Office of Buleleng, and the Head of Social Rehabilitation Services, Maman
Wahyudi.
From the results of the verification, it is
known that Luh Sita lives alone, and next to her house is her son,
daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. Luh Sita and her family are allowed to live
on the customary land assets of Kubu Addan Village.
Luh Sita's life is very simple, where she has
to cook herself with firewood for her daily food needs. If Grandma Luh Sita
needs electricity, she must connect to her neighbors, as well as clean water.
The current identity card (KTP) she holds is no longer valid and needs to be
renewed. This causes delays in the aid that will be distributed.
Based on this data, the "Mahatmiya" Team,
the Buleleng Social Service and local village officials helped register with
the local Population and Civil Registration Office so that Luh Sita could have
a valid ID card.
