KENDAL REGENCY (23 September 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to work on handling vulnerable residents in Central Java. This is done through the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Support (ATENSI) which was symbolically handed over by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini for a total of Rp. 981.148.000,- at the Sasana Krida Bahurekso Kendal Sports Center, Central Java.

 

Handling through ATENSI support will be distributed to beneficiaries in several areas in Central Java, namely Banyumas, Batang, Grobogan, Jepara, Karanganyar, Kendal, Salatiga City, Kudus, Pati, Pekalongan, Pemalang, Semarang and Sleman.

 

"Today, the distribution of assistance to beneficiaries that we have assessed, one of which is persons with disabilities and Beneficiary Families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH)", said Social Minister Risma.

 

The beneficiaries consist of child beneficiaries, the elderly, victims of drug abuse as well as persons with social deviance issues, and victims of trafficking in persons.

 

This ATENSI support consists of accessibility assistance for 23 beneficiaries, entrepreneurship assistance for 118 beneficiaries, basic needs assistance for 284 beneficiaries, training assistance for 57 beneficiaries, and assistance to orphans, fatherless and motherless for 937 children.

 

Accessibility assistance is provided in the form of tricycle motorbikes, adaptive walking sticks, and medical wheelchairs. Then entrepreneurial assistance in the form of sewing equipment, livestock, stall outlets for selling credit, business selling clothes, and fruit juice businesses. The basic needs assistance provided was in the form of necessities and daily necessities.

 

Furthermore, assistance for training needs such as driving training courses and assistance for orphans, whose parents died due to Covid-19 in the form of a savings account worth Rp. 200 thousand/month for school-age children and Rp. 300 thousand/month for children who are not yet in school.

 

This ATENSI support is managed by social rehabilitation centers, namely, Inten Soeweno Bogor, Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta, Margo Laras Pati, Paramita Mataram, Satria Baturraden, Antasena Magelang and Kartini Temanggung.

 

Social Minister Risma gave motivation and strength to the beneficiaries, especially orphans.

"If you have a problem, you can't run, don’t be naughty, don’t be drug abuse victims. You are all Mrs. Risma's children, if you have a problem, tell me, you can do it, nothing is impossible", she ordered the children.

Member of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives, Buchori said that the program that has become a public concern at this time is an aid for orphans, fatherless and motherless. He revealed that the government is here to help the children of Indonesia. The government is the father and mother of the nation's children.

"We hope that the aid plan for 4.3 million orphans in Indonesia can be approved immediately and can provide real assistance. Commission VIII of the DPR RI will continue to monitor so that the aid reaches the community," added Buchori.

Yolanda Kustanti, a beneficiary who is still in grade 3 of Vocational School, expressed her pleasure in getting attention from the government. She wants to realize the message of her mother, who recently died of Covid-19 on August 4, 2021, which is to become a civil servant. "I want you to be a civil servant, that's the message from my mother that I always remember", she recalled with teary eyes.

She also added that dealing with conditions like this is not an easy thing. "My strength is only to remember my father, my siblings, and my mother's message," said the eldest of 3 children.

Social Minister Risma's working visit was attended by several members of Commission VIII of the DPR RI, Special Staff to the Minister of Social Affairs, Echelon I Officials of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Head of Social Rehabilitation Center in Central and West Java Regions, Regent of Kendal and Police Chief of Kendal.
