WEST BANDUNG  (27 August 2021) – A person with mental disability who is often called "Abah Wakwaw" by residents around the Padalarang Market, West Bandung Regency and has gone viral on social media some time ago who was assisted by Naila "Little Angel" from Padalarang, is seen returning to the roadside.

While on an official trip to Bandung Regency to attend the Social Minister's Working Visit in Soreang, Cup Santo, the Head of Social Rehabilitation Center Phala Martha saw the figure of "Abah Wakwaw" sitting on the side of the Padalarang highway. Immediately, he got out of the car and greeted Abah Wakwaw.

Furthermore, Cup Santo coordinated with Kang Dawam and Teh Nani from LKS WAONEAG Cinta Kasih, West Bandung Regency, who is the Center’s colleague to discuss the facilitation of health services and post-hospital services for Abah Wakwaw.

Cup Santo said that as a result of the coordination carried out, Kang Dawam will become a facilitator in health services in collaboration with the West Bandung Regency Health and Social Service through the "West Bandung Regency Poor Community (Maskin KBB)" program will treat Abah Wakwaw to the West Java Provincial Hospital in Cisarua.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Social Affairs through Phala Martha Sukabumi together with LKS Waoneag will continue the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) service for Abah Wakwaw.

Nani from LKS Waoneag said by telephone that LKS had previously facilitated Abah Wakwaw to the Padalarang Health Center to treat his injuries. At that time, he asked for the address of his family, but Abah could not answer where the address of his family was.

"After this, we will immediately evacuate Abah to Cisarua Hospital for medical treatment," added Nani.

Based on interviews and quick observations, it was concluded that Abah's mental health condition was not too severe.

This is evidenced by the ethics and communication that Abah still has, namely saying thank you when given food and drink.

"Hopefully, after undergoing health care and social rehabilitation at Phala Martha Center, the condition of Abah's social function and welfare will improve", concluded Cup Santo.
