BANJARNEGARA
(20 November 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social
Rehabilitation Center “Satria” Baturraden responded to the landslide disaster
that occurred in Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java Province.
Rain with
moderate to high intensity and wind occurred in Pagentan District, Banjarnegara
Regency caused cliffs as high as approximately 25 (twenty-five) meters to slide
and hit people's houses. The impact of this incident caused 2 (two) houses to
be severely damaged, 4 (four) people lost their lives, 1 (one) person survived,
and 3 (three) people took refuge in their respective homes.
As a first
step, Satria Center Baturraden team coordinated with Antasena Magelang team,
Central Java Main Tagana, the Banjarnegara Regency Regional Board for Disaster
Management (BPBD), Banjarnegara Hospital Psychologists, Integrated Service Center
for Women and Children Empowerment (P2TP2A) Banjarnegara Regency, Social
Empowerment Service Women and Child Protection (Dinsos PPPA) Banjarnegara
Regency, and Pagentan Village Officials.
POS (9 years
old), the only survivor, and KN (16), the child of one of the victims of the
landslide disaster, are currently receiving psychological treatment by a
psychologist at the Banjarnegara Hospital for the psychological recovery
process. Satria Baturraden team will coordinate further with the psychologist
at the Banjarnegara Hospital for their psychological treatment.
In addition
to psychological treatment, POS who has been cared for by the family of the
late Budiman whose house was heavily damaged by landslides requires social
services to determine alternative care. This aims to ensure that children
receive continuous care.
Satria
Baturraden team and the Social Rehabilitation Facilitator of Banjarnegara
Regency conducted a rapid assessment of an elderly couple whose houses were
closest to the disaster area who were included in the group vulnerable to
disasters.
On this
occasion, Satria Baturraden Team distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance
(ATENSI) support in the form of fulfilling the needs of a decent living to survivors
and those affected by the disaster, handed over through the Pagentan Village
Apparatus.
In addition
to conducting a rapid assessment, S (72) and his wife (69) also received
psychological first aid (PFA) or psychological first aid by psychologist Satria
Center Baturraden in the form of the emotional freedom technique (EFT). This is
one of the first aids to deal with emotional changes after a disaster.
Furthermore, psychosocial monitoring and intervention will be carried out.
