PALU (14 February 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Social Rehabilitation
Center "Nipotowe" Palu carried out an emergency response to children who
had swelling in the spine. The child's name is Dinda. Dinda lay weak and in
pain in the hospital bed.
Based on online news, Dinda suffers from lung
disease and swelling of the spine. Her illness stemmed from an accident that
Dinda had eight months ago. Dinda who was busy cycling was grazed by a
motorbike carrying grass. Dinda was thrown and hit by her bicycle. Families can
only afford traditional medicine because of economic conditions that do not
allow treatment at the hospital.
"Nipotowe" Center in collaboration with
the Social Office of Parigi Moutong Regency assisted Dinda and
her family. Parigi Moutong Regency Government facilitates health insurance
through the APBD.
On Wednesday (9/2/2022), Dinda was treated at the
Anuntaloko Parigi Moutong Hospital. Based on the results of the X-ray, the
Anuntaloko Hospital stated that an operation was necessary and had to be
referred to Palu.
On Sunday (13/2/2022), Dinda was referred to the
Palu Undata Hospital. "Nipotowe" officers conducted an assessment of
the medical staff who treated Dinda. Based on the results of the examination,
Dinda suffered from Tuberculosis Spondylitis. Tuberculosis spondylitis is an
infection of the spine caused by bacteria that cause tuberculosis. Currently,
the operation cannot be performed because it is waiting for the results of the
CT scan.
