MoSA Provides ATENSI Assistance to PwMD Who Has Been Imprisoned for 20 Years in Cianjur
CIANJUR (27 August 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through Social Rehabilitation Center “Phala Martha” Sukabumi
distributes assistance for Persons with Mental Disabilities (PDM) with the
initials "SL" at LKS Cianjur Rumah Pulih Jiwa Foundation.
The Head of the Center,
Cup Santo assigned Kusman and Raden Dani Bustomi as Social Workers to
distribute ATENSI assistance to SL worth Rp. 2,963,000,- in the form of support
for the fulfillment of a decent living, including food, clothing, sleeping
equipment, toiletries, worship equipment, nutritional needs, and medicines.
Assistance is provided
through LKS Rumah Pulih Jiwa Cianjur. Rukman Samsudin as the
Chair of the LKS expressed his deep gratitude for the assistance provided by
Phala Martha Center.
"This assistance
really helps SL and eases the burden on LKS. We hope that similar assistance
can also be received by other persons with mental disabilities served at
LKS," he added.
Middle Social Worker of Phala
Martha Center, Kusman said that he hoped the assistance provided could be used
properly to help the daily needs of SL in LKS.
SL (27 years old) was
previously locked up for 20 years in a small room that was dirty and littered
with garbage in very poor conditions.
Phala Martha Sukabumi Center
together with LKS Rumah Pulih Jiwa succeeded in evacuating SL to the Bogor
Mental Hospital on (10/07/2021).
