MoSA Welcomes the Support of PT. Astra Buana Insurance in Fulfilling the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
JAKARTA (25 September 2021) – The Ministry of Social
Affairs welcomes the efforts of the private sector in fulfilling the rights of
persons with disabilities. One of the efforts of PT. Astra Buana Insurance provides support in the form of educational equipment for persons with
disabilities.
The equipment consists of
2 units of laptop and 6 units of Personal Computer (PC) to support the
implementation of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) services for
Beneficiaries (PM) at Social Rehabilitation Center Melati Jakarta.
The handover of
assistance was carried out directly by Eddy Ismanto, Supervisor Governance,
Risk Management, and Compliance of PT. Asuransi Astra Buana to the Head of Melati
Jakarta on Friday (24/9) in the Meeting Room of Melati Jakarta.
The Head of Melati Center,
Romal Uli Jaya Sinaga, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by
PT. Astra Buana Insurance.
“Melati Center has long
established a synergy with PT. Astra International. Various entrepreneurship
workshop programs and social assistance have been provided by PT. Astra
International for PM of Melati Center Jakarta. It is an honor for Melati Center
Jakarta to be re-assigned to manage educational operational assistance for PM
through its subsidiary Astra Internasional," said Romal.
Romal also expressed his
hope to be able to develop cooperation with PT. Asuransi Astra Buana in terms
of labor recruitment from graduates of Melati Jakarta. Romal explained that Melati
Center continues to innovate to improve the quality of PM
graduates so that they can be on par with non-disabled people.
On that occasion, Eddy
Ismanto explained that PT. Asuransi Astra Buana implements corporate social
responsibility programs based on 4 pillars, namely Education, Health,
Environment, and Entrepreneurship Development.
