East Aceh (March 10, 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Directorate of Social Protection for Victims of Social and Non-Natural Disasters (PSKBS-NA) in collaboration with the Center for Social Welfare Education and Training (BBPPKS) Padang held training on making stoves for the community in Seunobok Village, East Aceh Regency.

This activity aims to develop the income of the community, especially those who are still of productive age.

The training for making the stoves was attended by 15 residents of Seuneubok Village from 7 to 13 March 2023 at the East Aceh Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM).

For 7 days the participants received training material in the form of an introduction to the tools and materials needed to make stoves, the manufacturing process from cutting, drilling, and bending as well as how to use the stove and its fuel, namely dry palm, to product promotion materials.

Rachmatsyah, one of the residents who took part in the training, was very grateful for this activity.

"I am happy to have been given training assistance from the minister and the Ministry of Social Affairs, from the beginning we were guided by theory and practice until we could use the tools provided."

"The benefits of this stove are not only for us, 15 people, but to help the people because afterward, we share this knowledge with others," he added.

Apart from the training, some of the ready-made stoves have also been tried and used by residents for cooking.

Sumarni, a resident of Seuneubok Village, East Aceh Regency, is satisfied with the use of the stove because according to her the results of her cooking have the same quality as using a gas stove.

"Even though the cooking process takes longer, the result is the same and more economical because it uses fuel which is very cheap and easy to get," she said.

It is hoped that this training can provide benefits to the participants and the wider community because it utilizes existing resources without looking for gas or other fuels, with a simple stove it can provide a maximum function to the community.
