TANGERANG (May 3rd, 2020) – Director General of Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama, symbolically handed over Cash Social Assistance (Bansos) to one of the 154 Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Jayanti Village, Jayanti District, Tangerang Regency, Banten. (Sunday, May 3rd 2020).

The Director General of PFM, accompanied by Director of PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan, asked the beneficiaries to make maximum use of the government assistance so it can reduce the burden due to COVID-19. “Hopefully this assistance from the central government can be useful,” said the Director General of PFM.

In addition, the Director General of PFM said that the data used for the distribution of the social assistance was the data obtained by the Ministry of Social Affairs from the local government, so that cooperation between the local government and the central government was needed to complete the data so it can be well targeted. “The Ministry of Social Affairs always warns that we are not the ones who collect Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), but it is sent from the Regent or Mayor. It is hoped that in the future data collection will be beter in all regions so that the data we receive will be more valid,” said the Director General of PFM.

This agenda also attended by Indonesian National Military-Land Force (TNI AD) Village Leadership NCO (Babinsa) and representatives from PT Pos Indonesia as partners of the Ministry of Social Affairs to distribute Cash Social Assistance so that the assistance can be sent smoothly. In addition, the Director General of PFM hopes that all parts involved in Cash Social Assistance Activity can be more cohesive to help people affected by COVID-19.
