BOYOLALI (March 12, 2021) - Usually, the elderly are not too busy with activities, but it is different from the elderly in Gondangrawe Village, Andong District, Boyolali Regency. On Wednesday afternoon (10/3), 6 elderly PKH (Family Hope Program) family beneficiaries (KPM) were seen actively working on a garden in Gondangrawe Village, Andong District, Boyolali Regency.

It was Danik Haryanti Ningrum Sapitri (42), Boyolali Regency PKH Social Companion, or familiarly called Danik, who started the PKH KPM empowerment movement for the elderly category through garden cultivation since 2019.

From the land measuring 11x13 m² belonging to the KPM assisted also, which is now called the PKH Elderly Gardens, various types of plants such as chili, kale, eggplant, ginger, and sand ginger are planted and are cultivated by 17 elderly KPM in rotation where the benefits of the garden can be felt.

Danik's hope is simple. Through the Elderly Gardens, she wants to make elderly KPM to be empowered and able to take advantage of the PKH social assistance for future savings.
