BANDUNG (August 13, 2020) - The opening of Matriculation was Applied Masters opened directly by the Director of the Social Welfare Polytechnic (Poltekesos Bandung), attended by Structural Officials and Functional Lecturers and new students of the 2020/2021 Applied Masters.

Starting his speech, the Director of Poltekesos Marjuki welcomed the new students of the Applied Master and the lecturers as the working team of the applied master's study program.

“I welcome the new students of the Applied Master. In the future, lecturers must provide different lessons from the STKS period, which currently Poltekesos is more about vocations and future achievements are not only giving birth to Applied Masters graduates but Applied Doctors," said Marjuki at the online opening Matriculation of Applied Masters. Furthermore, the number one person at Poltekesos Bandung advised new students not to just go with the flow in the process of building self-image with accessories for higher education levels.

“For the new students, don't be complacent in temporary false pride. But further than that, you must be able to capture the core of social problems that are increasingly widespread and deep, analyze more sharply the problematic situations you are facing, and take a better role in solving these problems,” Marjuki said.

The Director of Poltekesos has high hopes for the students and the entire academic community Poltekesos Bandungso that they become people who not only respond to situations and wait, but take initiative and are visionary.

According to him, students who are also social workers are the foremost professions in the implementation of social welfare development, spearheads who must be skilled in overcoming social problems. Social workers must have a vision for the future that is always updated regarding the existing social situation and conditions.

“The next important process in developing the competence of social workers is critical thinking and reflection. The education process at the advanced level is an important stage to carry out critical thinking and reflection ," he explained.

Meanwhile, at the same time, the Head of the Applied Masters Program of the Social Work Study Program, Dwi Yuliani, in his report conveyed that the students of the social work study program, the applied master's program, for the academic year In 2020/2021, 34 students have registered, consisting of 4 Study Assignments students, 20 Achievement Scholarship Students, and 10 independent students.

Yuliani also said about 6 more people are still waiting for the registration.

This activity took place from 13 to 28 August 2020, with the aim of equalizing the understanding and competence of new students, considering that some students come from different educational backgrounds, different generations, and with different curricula.

Continuing her report, Yuliani said that there would be material provision inactivity Matriculation for Applied Masters.

"The material will be delivered as knowledge of social welfare and social work, knowledge of the research, as well as other knowledge that support the achievement of the profile master applied," said Yuliani
