SEMARANG (3 September 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs together with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives continues
to provide support for Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) in various
regions, one of which is in Semarang City, Central Java. This ATENSI support is
an effort to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The total ATENSI support
provided is Rp. 1.4 billion with types of assistance, namely compensation for
514 Orphans, Fatherless and Motherless whose parents died due to Covid-19,
entrepreneurship assistance for 142 people, accessibility support for 190
people with disabilities and basic needs for 665 people.
"We are still
collecting data until the end of December 2021. It is data for orphans due to
Covid-19. Furthermore, orphans, in general, will be recorded next year. We will
also send the data to the Ministry of Education and Culture so that children
can get an Indonesian Card Smart (KIP)," said Social Minister Risma.
In addition, Social
Minister Risma also said that the entrepreneurship assistance provided was following the wishes and needs of the beneficiaries. "If the passion
is in the culinary field, we can't force the sewing business, so it must be
according to their wishes," explained Social Minister Risma.
This ATENSI support is
also provided by continuing to assist in the form of business
development training every Saturday and Sunday through the Heroes of the
Economy webinar. The training includes how to market products and other
business-related matters.
Social Minister Risma and
Member of Commission VIII DPR RI, Buchori, symbolically handed over this ATENSI
support at the Semarang Regent's Office House. The aid will be distributed to
beneficiaries in Semarang City, Semarang Regency, Salatiga City, Surakarta
City, Pekalongan Regency and Pati Regency.
Buchori appreciated the
government's idea of assisting orphans. "We support it because the ATENSI program is a program that directly touches the community,
one of which is assistance for orphans, fatherless and motherless whose parents
died because of Covid-19. This saves the nation's generation," he said.
