BOGOR (August 24, 2020) - The Center for Research and Development of Social Welfare (Puslitbangkesos) in 2020 carried out the activity "Research Needs Analysis in 2021."

The activity was carried out for 4 (four) days starting from August 24 to 27, 2020 at The Mirah Hotel Bogor. In this activity, the Head of the Agency for Education, Research and Social Counseling, Mr. Syahabuddin, gave directions as well as opened the activity.

The resource persons for this activity were the Secretary of the Education, Research, and Social Counseling Agency (Badiklitpensos), the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Poverty Handling, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment and the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation.

The participants of this activity were attended by 58 people consisting of representatives from Badiklitpensos, Directorate of Social Protection and Security, Directorate of Poverty Handling, Directorate of Social Rehabilitation, Directorate of Social Empowerment, Structural and Functional Officials within the Center for Social Welfare Research and Development (Puslitbangkesos).

Now is the right time for Puslitbangkesos to be able to dig or explore what programs or activities need to be researched for 2021. What we hope is, of course, programs carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs are research-based.

Planning a future activity based on factual data from the results of previous research, and current factual conditions where we have not come out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of course, this COVID-19 pandemic should not hinder our activities to carry out a research needs analysis in 2021 and we will continue to comply with health protocols.

Hopefully this activity can run well and of good quality. There is a solid synergy between the units of the Technical Directorate and the Center for Social Welfare, as the main users of the recommendations of research results to advance social welfare development efforts.
